About This Experience
This is a private half-day eco tour for your own group, through Key West’s backcountry waters. The operator is Dolphin Safari Charters; the boat takes up to 6 people and the price is per group. Departures are listed at 09:30 and 14:00, and the trip runs about 4 hours.
The listing describes cruising the backcountry, watching wild dolphins, then swimming, snorkeling or relaxing on beaches reachable only by boat. The itinerary is flexible and customized to your group, and a local guide talks about the marine life. Snorkel gear, floating toys, soft drinks, bottled water and snacks are included, and you complete a digital waiver for check-in.
It suits families and small groups who want dolphins and shallow water on their own schedule. The listing calls it suitable for all fitness levels, and it is not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Pricing starts from $966 per group (checked November 2026). The listing is bookable only in two windows, 2026-11-01 to 2026-12-31 and 2027-10-17 to 2027-12-27, so check your date.
Honest caveats: dolphin sightings are not guaranteed, no reef is named, and the stops are chosen on the day. The listing carries Viator’s standard free-cancellation flag; check the cutoff time on the booking page before you pay.

What Travelers Say
Rated 4.9/5 by 35 verified Viator travelers.
We had a fantastic time exploring the Key West area and seeing the Dolphins. Was so nice to be able to tailor the day to what our family enjoyed. The operator was extremely responsive and even helped get us back to our cruise boat with plenty of time to spare. Highly recommend!

The tour was exactly and described, nice day on the water, stopping in a couple of spots to snorkel and chill. We are a group of 6 with 4 teenagers girls enjoying last days together before heading to College. The captain Melany was fantastic and made our day special. Strong recommend the company and the Captain is a must!
