Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2026
Key West Reef Snorkeling (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent guide to snorkeling trips from Key West. We are an affiliate of Viator and GetYourGuide, and our hotel links run through Stay22 to hotel booking sites. We do not sell tickets or take bookings ourselves. This page explains what data this website handles and who handles the rest.
Bookings are processed by the platforms, not by us
When you click a booking link on this site, you leave it for the platform that sells that trip or hotel room:
- Viator, for most of the snorkeling trips on this site. Its privacy policy applies to your booking.
- GetYourGuide, for some trips and the booking widgets that show GetYourGuide availability. Its privacy policy applies to your booking.
- Hotel booking sites, reached through Stay22 links and maps on our where-to-stay pages. The privacy policy of Stay22 and of the hotel booking site you land on applies.
Your name, contact details, payment details and booking details go to that platform, not to us. We never see your card details or your reservation.
What this website collects
- Analytics. Every page loads GetYourGuide’s partner script, which counts page visits and clicks on booking links for affiliate reporting and powers the availability widgets. It may record pages viewed, browser type and an approximate location. We do not use it to identify you.
- Affiliate tracking. When you click a booking link, the platform records that the visit came from this site, usually with a cookie set on the platform’s own domain, so it can pay us a commission if you book. The booking widgets on our pages are loaded from GetYourGuide and may set their own cookies.
- Email. If you write to us, we keep your email address and message so we can reply.
We do not collect payment information, booking details, passport or ID numbers, or precise location data.
How we use it
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To improve the content and usability of the site.
- To understand which pages and links readers find useful.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
Cookies on this site come from the GetYourGuide partner script, the affiliate platforms and the booking widgets described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, though booking widgets may not show availability.
Third-party services
- Viator: processes bookings for trips sold on Viator.
- GetYourGuide: processes bookings for trips sold on GetYourGuide and provides the availability widgets.
- Stay22 and hotel booking sites: handle hotel links, maps and room bookings.
- GetYourGuide’s partner script: counts visits and link clicks for affiliate reporting.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to object to its use, and to ask for a copy of it. For data held by this website, such as an email you sent us, write to info@keywestreefsnorkeling.com. For booking data, contact the platform you booked with.
Data retention
- Analytics data: held by GetYourGuide under its own retention policy; we see only aggregate reports.
- Email correspondence: kept for up to two years, or deleted sooner if you ask.
Children’s privacy
This website is not aimed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data. Bookings are made by adults on the booking platforms.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
